Jimmy Butler’s key issues with the Miami Heat
There are three key elements to Jimmy Butler’s unhappiness with the Miami Heat…
1) The first issue is the clash of personality with Pat Riley. Once close and full of respect, it is past the point of no return and a trade is the only answer.
2) Butler’s main gripe is not having a big contract, which he believes he can get in Phoenix. Teammates Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo have recently landed extensions with the team.
3) Butler want to win, and the Heat team cannot compete for a championship right now. Stephen A. Smith has criticised Pat Riley for failing to add stars around Butler in recent seasons to build on reaching the NBA Finals in 2020 and 2023.
