Dior Night Walk (043) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette ($68.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition holiday palette that was a grayscale, smoky color story with a darker gold in the center. I did feel like the inclusion of such a warm, contrasting gold might not be the right move. Given that the brand had a warmer, bronzy color story released alongside this one, I think keeping warm/cool would have made more sense. Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: Nothing new this week for me! :) Weekend plans: It's been an incredibly busy, busy week of helping puppies! A good concealer matches my skin tone well but might be a little too thick/too thin for use everywhere, whereas a great concealer I can use under the eyes, over a blemish, etc.

Tom Ford Beauty Rose Tease Eye Color Quad ($90.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a new, limited edition all-matte color story that included a beige, pale coral, pink, and mauve. The quality was quite disappointing; I know the brand can do better, but ignoring their history, the mattes were thin, powdery, and prone to sheering out, which made them shorter-wearing and likely to muddy during application. I haven't been as impressed by the brand in the last few years, and this is no exception--this one makes me question how many more eye quads I'm willing to waste money on going forward! A great foundation applies beautifully just about every time, matches my skin tone well, is long-wearing while also fading evenly, and sits well on skin. A good foundation will do the same things, just not as well.

ColourPop Celestial Powers Sailor Moon Ultra Lip Duo is a new, limited edition lipgloss and liquid lipstick duo. The gloss may appear aqua-like in the tube, but it is pretty transparent so it has more of a shimmer/sheen effect. I wish the liquid lipstick was more forgiving of lip lines/texture and lasted longer. Transformation looked more aqua-like in the tube, but it was really like a very pale, champagne gold with a more transparent base. Pat McGrath Sunset Romance 5-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($36.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a new, limited edition warmer, neutral-leaning color story that included two semi-matte shades paired with three very shimmery shades. The formula was creamier across the board with the mattes having a smoother, more velvety texture (less like a traditional matte), and the shimmers being very cream-like and a touch thicker, though I had great wear, pigmentation, and experienced good application with all the shades.
