Shepherd’s Bye
Hi folks, you may have noticed there have been fewer and fewer posts by me, Jay, the LAMB Shepherd, recently. And by recently I mean the past few years. And by few, I mean, like, four or five. Sorry about that. Life and other projects have gotten in the way of me being an adequate or, frankly even present, Shepherd for such a wonderful flock, and as such I’ve decided to hang up my crook and pass the symbolic Farmer Hoggett flat cap and wellington boots on to a new Shepherd.
You know him, you love him, Lambcast host Richard Kirkham has been strongarmed…
The Movie of the Month for January 2024 is…
It’s time to announce the next Movie of the Month winner! There were six films to choose from in January and the site was down for a little while so we extended the period by a week to allow more than 9 of you to cast a vote! The last few days have seen the leading film change multiple times, so who knows what might’ve been had the poll closed an hour earlier or later, but it has closed now, and the winner is… Dredd!
Congratulations go to Heather Baxendale-Walsh from Word of (Hell)Mouth for successfully championing Dredd to victory,…

The Movie of the Month for December 2023 is…
It’s time to announce the next Movie of the Month winner! December has long been our month to highlight holiday-themed movies, and this year is no different. Six wildly different approaches to the season were nominated, several featured monsters and apocalyptic scenarios, but only one also included copious amounts of singing, so maybe that’s why it won? Regardless, for December 2023 we’ll be discussing… Anna and the Apocalypse!
Congratulations go to Howard Casner from Pop Art for successfully championing…

The Movie of the Month for November 2023 is…
It’s time to announce the next Movie of the Month winner! This month there were only three nominated films, and the poll is predominantly promoted on the ever-dwindling social media platform formerly known as Twitter, so voting was a little low this month but there’s still a winner! We probably should have seen this coming, as for November 2023 we’ll be discussing… Minority Report!
Congratulations go to Bubbawheat from It’s Time To Rewind and Fight Club Minute for successfully championing Minority…

The Movie of the Month for October 2023 is…
It’s time to announce the next Movie of the Month winner! October is our horror special month, and once again we had five very different horror films covering five realms of horror movie-dom, and as has happened before the horror-adjacent comedy won out in the end. So if you’re not a fan of absolutely terrifying films that peer into your soul and devour it from the inside then fear not, for this month’s winner is Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein! If you do prefer the soul-eating nightmare fuels then, I don’t…

Five LAMB members have submitted films from various horror subgenres and eras, and you get to vote on which one will be the movie of the month for October, and a Lambcast episode will be dedicated to it. The poll is at the bottom of the page, but first here are the nominees:
Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) [James Wilson, Blogging by Cinema-Light]
The Frighteners (1996) [Chris Ramey, After Credits]
Lake Mungo (2008)…
The Movie of the Month for September 2023 is…
It’s time to announce the next Movie of the Month winner! There were five nominees submitted by LAMB members and various methods of campaigning ranging from a social media barrage to absolutely nothing and not even voting for their own film, but it seems persistence doesn’t always pay off, as this month’s winner was not the most prolific campaigner for the poll. Sometimes you just need to champion something fun, and as such this month’s winner is Real Genius!
Congratulations go to Jeanette Ward from The Mundane…
