Pat McGrath Nirvana in Bloom Cheek Trio Review & Swatches

Pat McGrath Nirvana in Bloom Divine Blush, Bronze, and Glow Trio ($52.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that leaned a bit more medium (compared to the other two released) in depth. The quality was decent across the board, though I found the bronzer and blush to be on the powdery side and not my favorite texture applied to bare skin (relative to other offerings). Bronze Nirvana is a medium, coppery-orange with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. Medium, buildable pigmentation (as marketed) Smooth, finely-milled, somewhat powdery and thinner than the permanent version Applied evenly to Continue Reading…

Friday Finds & Check-ins, Volume #729

Recent Purchases/Rediscoveries: Nothing new this week for me! :) Weekend plans: It's been a very busy week, and today's going to be quite an outing for myself along with my menagerie as we head to the rescue's annual gala, Vanity Fur, this evening. This means I will need to veg and recharge tomorrow, LOL. I will be weighing Party's 14 babies tomorrow morning, but they've been doing better so fingers crossed that they won't need bottle feeding for much longer. I am hoping to get through some palette reviews over the weekend, too! What do you do to cheer yourself Continue Reading…

Natasha Denona Triochrome Mini Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Natasha Denona Triochrome Mini Eyeshadow Palette ($27.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a new, cool-toned color story featuring mostly blues across three matte eyeshadows and two shimmer eyeshadows. The quality was consistent with Natasha Denona's formulations, so if you're a big fan of her formulas and love blue, it's a nice pick! I did find the multichrome included to be a weaker multichrome, which some may prefer in terms of ease of incorporating it into a look, but those who have lots of multichromes from "indie" brands may find it lacking. Voltaic (508CM) is a bright, cobalt blue with strong, cool Continue Reading…

Pat McGrath Fleurever Nude Cheek Trio Review & Swatches

Pat McGrath Fleurever Nude Divine Blush, Bronze, and Glow Trio ($52.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette that leaned a bit lighter (compared to the other two released) in depth. I wasn't thrilled with the highlighter texture; despite being more finely-milled, it looked drier applied to my skin due to the general dustiness/dryness of the formula. The bronzer was comparable to the permanent range, though it did feel thinner to me. Nude Honey is a light-medium brown with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. Medium, buildable pigmentation (as marketed) Smooth, finely-milled, somewhat powdery and thinner than Continue Reading…
