First Teaser for Turkish Romance Series ‘Lovers Anonymous’ on Netflix

"Love is not to be blamed, people are. That's the miracle of life." Ain't that the truth! 💔 Don't blame love for everyone's craziness – it's just them. Netflix has revealed the first look teaser trailer for a new streaming series called Lovers Anonymous, about the kooky guy who runs a Love Hospital in Turkey. This isn't a reality series nor is it a schmaltzy Hallmark romantic comedy, thankfully. From the footage in this teaser, it looks like something along the lines of The Lobster or Fingernails or Equals. Cem, scarred by a childhood that crushed his trust in love, runs the "Love Hospital" (to cure those suffering from the "love disease") – until Hazal, who believes in the power of love, disrupts his life. Will they both change each other? Will Cem learn to appreciate the power of love? This stars Halit Ergenc, Funda Eryiğit, Rıza Kocaoğlu, Zerrin Nißancı, Selcuk Borak, İdil Fırat, Ceren Benderlioğlu, & Seda Akman. Actually seems like it might be good, with some sly commentary on modern romance and ideas on how to overcome romantic troubles. Here's the first teaser trailer for Netflix's romance series Lovers Anonymous, direct from YouTube: Cem (Halit Ergenç), scarred by [

‘Babygirl’ Capsized by Woke, Wobbly Ending

Nicole Kidman’s character in “Babygirl” has it all. Almost literally. She’s the CEO of a powerhouse tech company, has two adoring teens and her dutiful spouse looks suspiciously like Antonio Banderas. Her descent into lust, the kind we rarely see in modern movies, is the heart of this erotic drama. It’s a shame that the

January MOTM Poll

We are starting the new year soon, and that means we need a new Movie of the Month for January. The choices are wide open and you can certainly find something you would like to talk about.

Howard Casner of “Pop Art” has submitted “The American Astronaut” from 2001 for what may be the third time. Persistence pays off if you want it to.

Dave Anderson of “Free Kittens Movie Guide” thinks the 1970s rule, so he knows you want to talk about William Fredkin’s underrated masterpiece “Sorcerer”.

Do you think Sam Rockwell is unique as an actor? If we choose “Moon” from 2009, you will get a chance to comment on that idea. Bubbawheat from “It’s Time to Rewind” thinks it is an experience worth replicating.

Finally, The Vern from “Cinema Recall” wants you to choose “Possession” from 1981, a film that looks exactly like a movie the Vern would like to discuss.

You have until January 19 to get in your votes. Also, there is room on the show if you are interested.

‘The Fire Inside’ Avoids ‘Rocky’ Template at Every Turn

Rachel Morrison’s “The Fire Inside” arrives at the same time as the smaller but also accomplished boxing sleeper, “Day of the Fight.” Morrison’s film takes the opposite approach to that film in terms of presenting its big matches – whereas “Day of the Fight” is a long build up to a great boxing match, “The

Kathy Griffin: Rogan, Musk Fans Declared War on Women

Kathy Griffin remains the face of the Trump Resistance 1.0. The comic posted a photograph of her holding a severed Donald Trump head in 2017, igniting a media maelstrom. She apologized, un-apologized and watched her job opportunities vanish. Griffin revived her career slowly, in part, because her fellow stars outflanked her Trump rage. Some openly
