When You Left Me On That Boulevard is an indie dramedy short film made by Kayla Galang, a Filipino filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. It's written and directed by Kayla and speaks to her own experience growing up. The film won the top award, the Short Film Grand Jury Prize, at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival back in January at the start of this year, then went on to win the Special Jury Award for Vision at the 2023 SXSW Film & TV Festival in March. What if M3gan but about a sexy robot instead of a child's doll? That's pretty much the concept here. The sci-fi AI thriller, T.I.M. (which stands for Technologically Integrated Manservant), stars Georgina Campbell (from Barbarian), Eamon Farren as T.I.M., Mark Rowley, Amara Karan, and Nathaniel Parker. Inspired by '90s stalker thrillers, the film follows Abi (Campbell), a prosthetics engineer, and her husband Paul. As they adapt to a new life outside the city, Abi's latest project, the A.I. humanoid T.I.M., initially appears as the perfect aid. Programmed to serve only her, it begins to transform into a perilous obsession, determined to replace Paul and be with her.
