Rideshare Chase Thriller ‘Amber Alert’ Trailer with Hayden Panettiere

"If we don't find him, she'll be gone forever." Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a generic thriller called Amber Alert, which is an extremely generic and uninteresting title for yet another movie like this. Oddly, director Kerry Bellessa made in a movie in 2012 also titled Amber Alert, with a similar plot – which means she's remaking her own film but with a more famous cast this time and a bit more money it seems. This new movie opens in September. An ordinary rideshare becomes a high-stakes game of cat and mouse when Jaq & Shane receive an alert of a child abduction on their phones. Quickly realizing they are behind a car that matches the description of the kidnapper's, Jaq & Shane desperately race against time to save the child’s life. Starring Hayden Panettiere, Tyler James Williams, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, and Kevin Dunn. These kind of films are problematic because they're playing on the deep fears of regular people to create generic content they can make money off of – which seems icky despite the facade of ...

Connie Britton in Supernatural Horror Film ‘Here After’ Official Trailer

"I need my daughter back..." Paramount has revealed the trailer for a supernatural horror thriller movie titled Here After, arriving in theaters starting in September this fall. The film is the first feature directed by a long-time producer named Robert Salerno, who is moving to a role behind the lens this time in addition to producing. The plot for Here After is one that has been seen many times before: When her teen daughter displays increasingly disturbing behavior after a near death experience, a mom becomes convinced the girl brought something evil back from the other side. It seems a dark force has followed her back from the brink of death. This stars Connie Britton as Claire, Freya Hannan-Mills, Giovanni Cirfiera, Tommaso Basili, and Syama Rayner. Alas this is so uninteresting & derivative, will be an easy skip for most people. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Robert Salerno's Here After, direct from Paramonut's YouTube: Connie Britton stars in this gripping supernatural thriller. Claire Hiller (Britton) is overjoyed when her daughter Robin (co-starring Freya Hannan-Mills) is miraculously revived after a fatal ...

Demi Moore & Margaret Qualley in Wild Horror ‘The Substance’ Trailer

"An enraged scream in cinematic form." Mubi has revealed the full trailer for the wild and audacious horror film The Substance, which launched with a rapturous premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival back in May. It's the second feature directed by horror filmmaker Coralie Fargeat, who makes very bloody horror flicks. "Have you dreamt of a better version of yourself? You. Only better in every way. Seriously." You’ve got to try this new product. It’s called The Substance. IT CHANGED MY LIFE. It generates another you. A new, younger, more beautiful, more perfect, you. And there's only one rule: You share time. One week for you. One week for the new you. 7 days each. A perfect balance. Easy. Right? If you respect the balance... Don't screw it up. This film stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid. Mubi says: "deliriously entertaining and ruthlessly satirical, Fargeat’s Cannes sensation turns toxic beauty culture inside out with a be-careful-what-you-wish-for fable for the ages. Explosive, provocative, & twisted, The Substance marks the arrival of a visionary filmmaker." This grotesque & crazy ...
