"Real power can never be given, it has to be taken." Saban Films has revealed an official trailer for a British action thriller titled Duchess, the latest movie from genre filmmaker Neil Marshall. For the last few years he has been making movies with his young wife Charlotte Kirk, who now helps produce and co-write the movies in addition to starring in them (also: The Reckoning and The Lair before this one). The film follows a tough, working-class, petty criminal named Scarlett who morphs into an anti-heroine to be reckoned with in a murky underworld, in the treacherous world of diamond smuggling. Duchess, a small-time crook, ends up left for dead when a deal goes wrong. Determined to seek retribution, she launches into an unwavering pursuit for vengeance. But of course. Duchess also stars Philip Winchester, Colm Meaney, Stephanie Beacham, Sean Pertwee and Hoji Fortuna. Alas this one looks like an instantly forgettable action flick.
