"They're risking their lives to show the world what happened." A24 has revealed a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Alex Garland's Civil War movie, his next new action thriller arriving in theaters in April. It's about a fictional (or not?) civil war in America following a crew of photojournalists on a "road trip" around America. After the two previous trailers for this movie, this preview finally reveals that it's actually about the journalists and really focused on them, not the details of the civil war and/or why it's happening. Still not so sure about this concept right now. "It felt immersive and it felt incredibly real, and it was chilling." The excellent ensemble cast for Garland's Civil War includes Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Karl Glusman, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonica T. Gibbs, Jess Matney, plus Jesse Plemons. "Enter the Kingdom in IMAX." 20th Century Studios has partenred with IMAX for an exciting promo this weekend. With the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire in IMAX theaters, they will be screening a special IMAX-exclusive preview for the next Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes movie. This extended promo is only available in theaters and is not online (yet) - made specifically for IMAX screens. The sneak peek runs 3 minutes. Greenwich Ent. has revealed an official trailer for a documentary film titled Hidden Master: The Legacy of George Platt Lynes, made by an art director turned filmmaker named Sam Shahid. This photography docu is an intimate look at pioneering artist George Platt Lynes, who took radically explicit photographs of the male nude. It reveals Lynes' gifted eye for the male form, his long-term friendships with Gertrude Stein & Alfred Kinsey, and also his lasting influence as one of the first openly gay American artists. From visionary art director Sam Shahid, Hidden Master features a stunning collection of photography from the 1930s-50s, uncovering the life of Lynes less known: his gifted eye for the male form, his friendships, and his enduring effect as one of the first openly gay American artists. Experience the new Pearl Jam album in a unique cinematic way. The rock band has revealed a short promo trailer for Pearl Jam: Dark Matter, a one-night-only cinematic event this April. To celebrate the release of the new album, they're presenting an exclusive cinematic engagement: Pearl Jam – Dark Matter – Global Theatrical Experience – One Night Only. Viewers will be among the very first to hear the band's new record (called "Dark Matter") in cinemas around the world. This communal experience will play Dark Matter in its entirety twice: first in a dark cinema, then again with mesmerizing visuals. Artist Alexandr Gnezdilov created the cover of Dark Matter using a large self-made kaleidoscope with each letter visible on the cover individually captured, then handwritten midair with a specially designed flashlight to create the pearlescent effect. "Music's not worth dying for..." "Then what is?" Kino Lorber has debuted the official trailer for the indie music film titled Lost Soulz, opening in theaters this May to watch. It originally premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival last year, where it was second in line for Audience Award. It later went on to win AFI Grand Jury Prize and the SXSW Jury Award for Vision. Lost Soulz is the feature debut from award-winning filmmaker Katherine Propper. The film is a fictional feature (not a doc though it has that vibe) that follows aspiring rapper Sol as he joins a group of Gen-Z musicians on tour across the heart of Texas, embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime road trip.
