Buffalo 8 has revealed an official trailer for an indie romantic drama called One Night in Tokyo, reminiscent of Before Sunrise & Before Sunset, even a bit of Lost in Translation. After premiering at the 2024 Cinequest Film Festival, it's being released on VOD in February for anyone who wants to watch. Betrayal spawns an unexpected night through the streets of Tokyo for two strangers left questioning the meaning of life and love. Sam arrives in Tokyo only to have his trip unexpectedly cut short when his expat girlfriend breaks up with him. Stuck for the night while he waits for his new flight, Sam makes an unlikely friend in Ayaka, a young Japanese woman who reluctantly takes him out for the night in the city. The indie film stars Reza Emamiyeh as Sam and Tokiko Kitagawa as Ayaka, with Cailee Oliver, Shinichiro Watanabe, and Mika Ahn. This looks really sweet and charming.
