Vertical has debuted the trailer for an indie romantic drama called Parachute, the feature directorial debut from actress Brittany Snow. This originally premiered at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival one year ago. It also played at the Dallas, Woodstock, Raindance, & Denver Film Festivals last year. From director Brittany Snow, Parachute tells the story of Riley and Ethan, who must navigate blossoming love and friendship and intimacy while trying to overcome combustible personal struggles. The film focuses on Riley, who was recently released from rehab after struggling with eating disorders and body image. She meets Ethan and finds herself navigating the line between love and a new addiction. The film stars Courtney Eaton as Riley and Thomas Mann as Ethan, with Francesca Reale, Gina Rodriguez, Joel McHale, Dave Bautista, and Scott Mescudi. This has a similar look and feel as the acclaimed film Like, Crazy, about two passionate lovers trying to make it work.
