Trailer for Dementia Film ‘Knox Goes Away’ Directed by Michael Keaton

"There's no coming back from this one..." Saban Films has revealed the trailer for Knox Goes Away, a film directed by and starring Michael Keaton. This originally premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival last year to mixed reviews - some good & some bad. Set for a limited release in theaters only this March. Yet another hit man film to join the many out there right now. When a contract killer learns he has a rapidly evolving form of dementia, he is offered an opportunity to redeem himself by saving the life of his estranged son caught in a bind. Keaton stars as John Knox, the aging hit man, along with James Marsden as his son, Suzy Nakamura, John Hoogenakker, Joanna Kulig, Ray Mckinnon, Lela Loren with Marcia Gay Harden and Al Pacino. This doesn't look that good - a bit muddled and so poorly shot - but all these nice quotes from this trailer do make me curious to find out why it is so "entrancing" and "twisted." Take a look. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Michael ...

Jon Stewart Couldn’t Beat ‘Gutfeld!’ (or Fox News)

Jon Stewart is back. Greg Gutfeld never left. Stewart’s hyped return to Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” riled up liberals and boosted the show’s ratings by a sizable margin. The comeback came with a downside for progressives. A show that came of age in Stewart’s absence beat him to the ratings punch. And it wasn’t …

Adam Wingard’s Sequel ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ Trailer #2

"It's not just a signal. That's a call for war." Warner Bros and Legendary have debuted the second official trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, again directed by filmmaker Adam Wingard, a sequel to 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong (which kicked ass). This next one is set to open in theaters everywhere at the end of March coming up pretty soon. The two mega monsters Godzilla and King Kong having to team up to take on a "colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world" - which seems to be some kind of "Red Ape" massive chimpanzee. GxK also delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while spending more time in the Hollow Earth realm where Kong is from. The cast of Godzilla x Kong features Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Rachel House, and Alex Ferns. Wingard says that "Godzilla and Kong will have a buddy-cop dynamic in the spirit of Lethal Weapon." Which is why they're launching this new trailer on Valentine's Day ...

Watch: Léa Seydoux Takes a Trip Around the ‘Vidéo Club’ Store in Paris

Atténtion! Atténtion! The latest Vidéo Club video is out and this one features French actress Léa Seydoux! The French YouTube channel Konbini posted their latest "Vidéo Club" promo following a celebrity through one of Paris' last video rental shops as they peruse the DVDs/Blu-rays and chat about their favorites. Léa Seydoux stops by this time as part of a promotion for her new French sci-fi romance film The Beast (watch the trailer) in which she co-stars with George MacKay. She's so passionate about all this great cinema! It's refreshing to hear! And I am glad she is also a fan of Xavier Dolan (including Mommy, one of my all-time faves too). Other films discussed: The Kid (1921), A Place in the Sun (1951), On Dangerous Ground (1951), Zazie dans le Métro (1960), Cronenberg's Naked Lunch (1991), Miyazaki's The Wind Rises (2013), and also defends the first Brian De Palma Mission: Impossible (1996) - which I also think is a great film. View below. Thanks to Twitter for the tip on this. The video is made by Konbini, a mega popular YouTube ...

Fun Trailer for Dutch Animated Movie ‘Fox and Hare Save the Forest’

"Operation Rescue Owl is underway!" Screen Daily has revealed the first official promo trailer for an indie animated movie titled Fox and Hare Save the Forest, the latest creation from a Dutch filmmaker named Mascha Halberstad (following her film Oink previously). This is premiering at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival in the kid's section titled Generation - which kicks off this week in Germany. "The 3D animation follows a group of animal friends who embark on an adventure when a lake threatens to submerge their forest home, perhaps the work of a megalomaniac beaver." It centers on the adventures of best friends Fox and Hare. One day, they find out that Owl has gone missing, and they embark on a journey to find him. While the film is a 3D digital creation, it has a stop-motion look & feel by making the characters out of clay and scanning them. The voice cast includes Rob Rackstraw, Dan Skinner, Jamie Quinn, Teresa Galagher, and Sarah Madigan. I like the look of this, I just wish the dialogue wasn't so rough and the ...

The Left Slams Jon Stewart for Mocking ‘Elderly’ Joe Biden

Jon Stewart is back, but the political landscape is very different than the one he left behind. “The Daily Show” star retired from his faux anchor seat in 2015, a time before his party embraced too many extremes to tally. We can start with open borders and name check Defund the Police for a sampler …
