Fleets like<br \/>\nPenske, U-Haul, and Enterprise saw 40-60% decreases in new<br \/>\nregistrations during the <a id=\"_Int_t6kgE5J6\" name=\"_Int_t6kgE5J6\" style=\"position:absolute;visibility:hidden;\">&amp;lt;span\/&amp;gt;<\/a>pandemic, but are having their largest<br \/>\nyear since 2019.<\/li>\n<li>Last-mile delivery was one of the only vocations to see <a id=\"_Int_VJ4rm3Gt\" name=\"_Int_VJ4rm3Gt\" style=\"position:absolute;visibility:hidden;\">&amp;lt;span\/&amp;gt;<\/a>new registration<br \/>\nincreases during the pandemic and continues to shine with companies<br \/>\nlike Amazon <a id=\"_Int_nfIoI0cX\" name=\"_Int_nfIoI0cX\" style=\"position:absolute;visibility:hidden;\">&amp;lt;span\/&amp;gt;<\/a>tripling<br \/>\nnew registrations from 2019.<\/li>\n<li>Class 5 showed the only decrease in registrations. Cab-chassis<br \/>\nand incomplete pickups had the most inventory during the pandemic &#8211;<br \/>\nresulting in a flattening of the curve in 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ihsmarkit.com\/www\/images\/0923\/commercial-registrations-september.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p >As for electrified commercial vehicles, &#8220;last mile&#8221; delivery<br \/>\nvehicles have shown to be a lively sector, with more than 10,000<br \/>\nelectric cargo vans and pickups registered in the first half of<br \/>\n2023. Among the other <a id=\"_Int_14nue8Bg\" name=\"_Int_14nue8Bg\" style=\"position:absolute;visibility:hidden;\">&amp;lt;span\/&amp;gt;<\/a>EV trends:<\/p>\n<ul >\n<li>New EV offerings from Ford, BrightDrop, and Rivian are<br \/>\npropelling a 304% increase in Class 2 EV registrations. Fleets such<br \/>\nas Amazon, Walmart, Penske, and FedEx are leading the charge in EV<br \/>\nadoption.<\/li>\n<li>Upcoming EV pickup launches from Chevrolet and Ram should<br \/>\ncontinue to help this EV sales boom.<\/li>\n<li>By contrast, retail EV purchases have increased &#8220;only&#8221; 60%<br \/>\nduring the same period &#8211; showing how much faster electrification is<br \/>\nbeing adopted by the commercial industry. Some <a id=\"_Int_g7vWUuzL\" name=\"_Int_g7vWUuzL\" style=\"position:absolute;visibility:hidden;\">&amp;lt;span\/&amp;gt;<\/a>context, however: While<br \/>\nnew commercial EV registration increases
