Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the updated 2025 G-Class, which looks doesn’t look too different, but gets some important changes under the hood and inside.<\/p>\n

The G-Class keeps its boxy styling that fans love, but with a few small updates that make it slip through the wind a bit easier. There are some aerodynamic changes, like new A-pillars that helps lower the drag coefficient to 0.48 from 0.55. The G 550 gets an update grille and lower bumper.<\/p>\n

Under the hood the big change for the G 550 is that the previous 4.0-liter V8 has been replaced by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with a mild-hybrid system. The six-cylinder generates 443 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, which is a 27 hp increase, but a 37 lb-ft. decrease.<\/p>\n

The AMG G 63 also gets the 48-volt mild-hybrid tech with its 4.0-liter V8, but it generates the same specs at 577 hp and 627 lb-ft. The G 63 accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, but with the new AMG Performance Pack that time drops to 4.2 seconds. The AMG Performance Pack also adds launch control and raises the top speed to 150 mph.<\/p>\n

The Mercedes-AMG G 63 is available with AMG Active Ride Control, which should give it a smoother ride on the road.<\/p>\n

There’s also a new AMG Offroad Package Pro that has two new off-road drive modes, AMG Traction Pro and and AMG Active Balance Control, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires and a special spare wheel holder and roof rack.<\/p>\n

Mercedes-Benz has not announced the pricing for the 2025 G-Class.<\/p>\n
