Bill Maher<\/a><\/strong> pulled no punches while taking shots at Disney<\/a> in a rant sparked by the recent docuseries Quiet on the Set<\/em> that also found Maher surprisingly defending \u201cevil governor\u201d Ron DeSantis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maher ended his weekly Real Time<\/em> show with his usual \u201cNew Rules\u201d segment and this week he began it by bringing up the 4-episode Max<\/em> docuseries Quiet on Set<\/a><\/em>, which was so popular that they produced a follow-up episode. The series mostly focuses on child stars who were sexually abused while working at Nickelodeon<\/a>, including by Brian Peck, who was found guilty in a court of law of sexual assault of Drake Bell<\/a>, yet only served 16 months in prison. Clearly furious over this \u2014 like most normal human beings would be \u2014 Maher noted that he believes it\u2019s every adult\u2019s job to protect children.<\/p>\n

In disgust, Maher characterized Quiet on Set<\/em> as \u201cScene after scene, clip after clip, of the child stars of their day being subjected to obviously inappropriate, highly sexualized degradation.\u201d<\/p>\n
