Netflix has released the trailer for a new action-packed anime series titled Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf<\/em><\/strong>. As you\u2019ll see, the trailer teases some brutally violent fight sequences. <\/p>\n

The project is based on a series of novels written by Baku Yumemakura that launched back in 1985. Over the years, the novels have been adapted into manga, a feature film, and even video games. This will be the first time that it gets the anime treatment. <\/p>\n

In the series, “On the run from a past crime, Juzo Fujimaki is blackmailed into joining an illicit tournament and has to face top martial artists in deadly match-ups.”<\/p>\n

Juzo is trying to hold back the savage wolf within him, but he eventually unleashes the fury and fiercely beats the hell out of those other fights that he faces. <\/p>\n

Atsushi Ikariya<\/strong> is directing the series and also designed the characters with Momoko Kawai<\/strong> for NAZ with Daisuke Mataga<\/strong> serving as assistant director. Sadayuki Murai<\/strong> worked on the scripts. Takeshi Ueda<\/strong> will be performing the anime’s opening theme titled “Fight & PRIDE” and the opening theme titled “CRY BOY.” <\/p>\n

The anime stars Ryota Takeuchi<\/strong> as Juzo Fujimaki, Tetsu Inada<\/strong> as Bunshichi Tanba, Shunsuke Takeuchi<\/strong> as Tsutomu Himekawa, Rintaro Nishi<\/strong> as Shozan Matsuo, Tessho Genda<\/strong> as Soichiro Izumi, Aya Endo<\/strong> as Saeko Izumi, Ryota Suzuki<\/strong> as Ryoji Kubo, Hidenobu Kiuchi<\/strong> as Fumihito Tamon, Junya Enoki<\/strong> as Tomoyuki Hikita, Yoshimasa Hosoya<\/strong> as Nyoze Carlos Nagato, Junichi Suwabe<\/strong> as Ichiro Shino, Kenjiro Tsuda<\/strong> as Oleg Zaytsev, Shiro Saito<\/strong> as Ranbo, Maki Izawa<\/strong> as Gunso, Yume Miyamoto<\/strong> as Chisaki Shino, and Yuko Kaida<\/strong> as Miyuki Koiso.<\/p>\n

Garouden: The Way of the Lone Wolf <\/em>will be premiering on Netflix on May 23rd. <\/p>\n
