Director Joachim R\u00f8nning<\/strong><\/a> has wrapped production on Tron: Ares<\/em><\/strong><\/a> and he\u2019s shared a few behind-the-scenes photos for the fans. <\/p>\n

The photos came with the following caption: \u201cThat\u2019s a wrap on TRON:ARES \ud83e\udd4f Thanks to an incredible and tireless crew, I really believe we pushed the filmmaking limits on this movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven through six weeks of night shoots you never slowed down. Also, a big thank you to our wonderful cast for leaving everything on screen. I can\u2019t wait to show the world what we\u2019ve done \ud83e\udd4f\ud83e\udd4f\ud83e\udd4f #TronAres \ud83d\udcf7\u201d<\/p>\n

This is exciting! Tron fans have been waiting for another chapter in the Tron story, and I really hope that the creative team will deliver another great sci-fi adventure film!<\/p>\n

The film follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, \u201cwho is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind\u2019s first encounter with A.I. beings.\u201d<\/p>\n

The movie stars Jared Leto<\/strong><\/a>, Cameron Monaghan<\/strong><\/a> (Star Wars Jedi<\/em>), Evan Peters<\/strong><\/a> (WandaVision<\/em>), Greta Lee<\/strong>, Jodie Turner-Smith<\/strong><\/a> (Without Remorse<\/em>), Greta Lee<\/strong>, Hasan Minhaj<\/strong>, Arturo Castro<\/strong>, and Gillian Anderson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jeff Bridges<\/strong><\/a> is also returning to the world of Tron, which is awesome! It\u2019ll be interesting to see how his character will factor into the story.<\/p>\n

R\u00f8nning previously talked about the movie saying: “I\u2019m excited to be part of the TRON franchise and bring this new film to fans around the world. <\/p>\n

\u201cTRON: Ares builds upon the legacy of cutting-edge design, technology and storytelling. Now more than ever, it feels like the right time to return to the Grid.”<\/p>\n

Jesse Wigutow<\/strong> and Jack Thorne<\/strong> wrote the script. The film arrives in theaters on October 10, 2025.<\/p>\n
