Who will rise above the rest to claim the league\u2019s ultimate individual honor in 2024?<\/p>\n<p id=\"KQ1Gz9\">It&#8217;s time to predict the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swishappeal.com\/\">WNBA<\/a> award winners. We&#8217;ve taken a look at the Rookie of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and Defensive Player of the Year. Now, it&#8217;s time to discuss the biggest regular season award out there: MVP.<\/p>\n<p id=\"E0Oxmf\">Who will win the Most Valuable Player award in 2024?<\/p>\n<hr class=\"p-entry-hr\" id=\"CYOjA1\">\n<h2 id=\"WA3Y7A\"><strong>Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p id=\"ZJXQd8\">The WNBA is oozing with talent, but let\u2019s begin with last year\u2019s winner, Breanna Stewart.  <\/p>\n<p id=\"i0QFsR\">2023 was Stewart\u2019s first year in New York and arguably her best season ever. She averaged 23 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, which all were career-best numbers. She did so as the bona fide number one, never missing a game.<\/p>\n<div id=\"Jylsc6\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\" align=\"center\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The reigning MVP has entered the chat  <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/breannastewart?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@breannastewart<\/a> havin\u2019 a little fun at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nyliberty?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@nyliberty<\/a> media day <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PnoNesuUeJ\">pic.twitter.com\/PnoNesuUeJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 WNBA (@WNBA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WNBA\/status\/1787182186736586813?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 5, 2024<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"j011UR\">Besides just putting up more numbers, how can she improve? By winning it all. Stewart and the Liberty fell short against the Las Vegas Aces, and while the postseason will not factor into the MVP award, being the top seed at the end of the regular season certainly will. <\/p>\n<p id=\"NeV0UG\">If New York can win the Commissioner&#8217;s Cup again and be the top seed with Stewart at the helm, perhaps she can fend off her competition and secure back-to-back MVPs. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"QzH2wb\"><strong>A&#8217;ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p id=\"DTGhqC\">A\u2019ja Wilson has won the MVP award twice and most certainly will be in the running this year as the best player on the best team. Greatness can get boring, and audiences can get complacent, but make no mistake: Wilson is a special, generational talent. That means dominating on offense, winning the Defensive Player of the Year award and approaching dynastic status by having the Aces on track for a third-straight title. <\/p>\n<p id=\"ewHtbE\">The scary part is that none of this is unrealistic. Wilson can do this, giving her a great shot at the award in 2024. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"dzrOc9\"><strong>Alyssa Thomas (Connecticut Sun)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p id=\"GnyJ58\">Last season&#8217;s MVP runner-up will have a great chance of winning this year&#8217;s award. <\/p>\n<div id=\"qHUDw2\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Who\u2019s gonna be next? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/a7Jccqb2L9\">pic.twitter.com\/a7Jccqb2L9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Connecticut Sun (@ConnecticutSun) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ConnecticutSun\/status\/1779904666341712324?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 15, 2024<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"xPP0mc\">Connecticut likely will again be one of the league\u2019s top teams and a title contender, and Alyssa Thomas will be flirting with a double-double every night; last season she averaged 15.5 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. Factor in potential voter fatigue with Wilson and Stewart, and Thomas can have the narrative angel on her side along with her elite performances. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sxAoVK\"><strong>Closing thoughts<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p id=\"gqgMW6\">Other players have outside chances of this illustrious award as well, such as Sabrina Ionescu, Nneka Ogwumike and Napheesa Collier, to name a few. Every season is different, and someone will take a leap and put their name in consideration for the best player in the WNBA. <\/p>\n<p id=\"6cHzLs\">The season kicks off on May 14, and now we can go
