This is actually a sequel to director Ryoo Seung-wan’s 2015 film titled Veteran<\/em><\/strong>, though with a new title this time. It’s premiering at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival this month in the Midnight Screening section where they always show a few Korean action films every year. The veteran detectives renowned for always getting their man are back in action!” I, The Executioner<\/em> follows detective Seo Do-cheol, head of the Violent Crime Investigation Division, as he faces a major crisis.
