Georgia GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a><\/strong> took things too far in the minds of many when she commented on Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett’s appearance in a House Oversight Committee meeting. Turnabout is fair play, however, as Greene\u2019s comments have inspired several parody songs skewering MTG’s looks. <\/p>\n

At the contentious May 16, 2024 oversight meeting, Marj told Crockett, who is Black, “I don\u2019t think you know what you\u2019re here for. I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you\u2019re reading,” according to Politico<\/a> \u2014 a racist statement, in some people’s opinion. <\/p>\n

Crockett took offense at what Greene said, and later asked Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) if describing another member as ” … bleach-blonde, bad-built, butch body<\/a>,” would be an inappropriate attack on their personality, clearly describing MTG.<\/p>\n
