This brings the year-to-date tally up 13.9% to 50,113. The top four carmakers all vastly beat the market. Toyota surges 110.5% year-on-year to 18.8% share, its highest since the\u00a019.7% it hit in <a href=\"https:\/\/bestsellingcarsblog.com\/2021\/09\/greece-august-2021-toyota-monopolises-podium-with-yaris-c-hr-and-aygo-market-off-9-6\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">August 2021<\/a>. Peugeot (+96.7%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year while Suzuki (+216.3%) triples them and Hyundai (+139.9%) also soars. In contrast Citroen (-1.4%) and Opel (-25.6%) struggle. Skoda (+143.6%) and Mercedes (+38.7%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10 while Dacia (+43.4%) shines at #11.<\/p>\n<p>Over in the models lane, the Top 6 all advance faster than the overall growth rate. The Suzuki Vitara (+855.4%) is the overall best-seller for the fourth time in the past 7 months (add last October, November and December). The Toyota Yaris (+71.8%) rallies back up 8 spots on March to #2, a ranking it also holds year-to-date. The Peugeot 2008 (+1331.7%) posts a truly surreal lift to #3, followed by the Toyota Yaris Cross (+133.8%), Aygo X (+179.6%) and Skoda Fabia (+700%).
