Ketika pendedahan jenama dan logo EV baharunya<\/a> malam ini, Proton turut mengumumkan bahawa ia kini sedang membangunkan platform modularnya sendiri bagi digunakan pada model-model generasi baharunya kelak tanpa bergantung kepada model-model Geely.<\/p>\n

Platform berkenaan dikenali sebagai Global Modular Architecture (GMA) dan menurut CEO Proton Dr Li Churning, ia bakal menjadi asas kepada model-model generasi baharu Proton yang menggunakan unit rangkaian kuasa enjin pembakaran dalaman (ICE), plug-in hybrid (PHEV) dan elektrik sepenuhnya (EV).<\/p>\n

Berdasarkan slaid pembentangan yang ditunjukkan, ada lima model baharu yang dirancang dibangunkan menggunakan platform GMA tersebut. Menurut Li, dengan menyertai kumpulan Geely membolehkan Proton mendapat akses terhadap teknologi-teknologi terbaharu Geely, dan menyepadukan pelbagai perincian baharu terhadap model-model Proton untuk diberi kepada pelanggannya.<\/p>\n

Li mengesahkan bahawa model-model berasaskan platform GMA ini kelak akan direka untuk diproduksi di Malaysia bagi pasaran tempatan dan eksport global. “GMA akan menjadi platform utama kami dan ia akan menyediakan asas untuk banyak model-model baharu, termasuk model PHEV dan BEV,” katanya.<\/p>\n

\"Proton<\/a><\/p>\n

Bukan hanya unit rangkaian kuasa, platform GMA ini juga boleh menjadi asas kepada model-model dari pelbagai bentuk badan. Dan dengan sifat modular, ia turut direka untuk mempertingkatkan kadar efisien dalam produksi dengan sasaran penghasilan sebanyak 200,000 unit kenderaan setahun.<\/p>\n

Walau bagaimanapun, model pertama untuk jenama EV Proton eMAS<\/a> (dieja e.MAS) yang dijadualkan dilancar pada penghujung tahun ini masih lagi belum menggunakan platform GMA tersebut. Ia dibayangkan diasaskan dari Geely Galaxy E5 yang dibina berasaskan platform Global Intelligent New Energy Architecture (GEA) iaitu platform yang berevolusi dari platform Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) Geely.<\/p>\n

Model-model berasaskan platform GMA ini kelak berkemungkinan mempunyai hubungan dengan penubuhan pusat R&D baharu Proton di Teluk Hangzhou, China<\/a> yang diumum kini sedang membangunkan model-model asli generasi baharu Proton iaitu Saga, Iriz dan Persona<\/a>. Dengan kebolehan platform tersebut menerima unit rangkaian kuasa elektrik penuh, ia juga mungkin akan menjadi asas kepada model EV Proton yang lebih mampu milik.<\/p>\n
