Peacock has revealed the main official for an epic Roman Empire series called Those About To Die<\/em><\/strong>, a riff on the classic Roman phrase “Hail, Emperor, those who are about to die salute you<\/em>” or “Ave Imperator, morituri te salutant<\/em>.” The series chronicles the world of gladiators in Ancient Rome. It may not be connected to Ridley Scott’s Gladiator<\/em> movie, or its upcoming sequel Gladiator 2<\/em> due out later this year<\/a>, but it’s definitely something they want you to feel<\/em> is connected. Some of the episodes are directed by Roland Emmerich and it was shot at the Cinecitt\u00e0 studio in Rome. Anthony Hopkins<\/strong> stars as the Roman Emperor Vespasian, with a massive cast: Dimitri Leonidas<\/strong> as Scorpus, Jojo Macari<\/strong>, Gabriella Pession<\/strong>, Iwan Rheon<\/strong>, Sara Martins-Court<\/strong>, Moe Hashim<\/strong>, David Wurawa<\/strong>, Tom Hughes<\/strong>, Lara Wolf<\/strong>, J\u00f3hannes Haukur J\u00f3hannesson<\/strong>, Rupert Penry-Jones<\/strong>, and Angeliqa Devi<\/strong>.
