Hi hi! Finally, a relatively new mask to share with all of you on what is a VERY rainy 10 degree June Sunday in Vancouver with all of you! From what I see, most of Canada is having an actual summer while we are still wearing raincoats and sweaters some days! Today seems like a good blogging day so that’s the plan and then because I have a very early morning training tomorrow, I will be doing my best to take an early night so that I will be able to survive the 10 hour work day!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Many of you have heard of the brand Dr. Dennis Gross<\/b> as he is very well-known for his chemical peels. I am a big fan of the Alpha Beta Peels and have many boxes on hand as they are gentle enough to use every day on both my face and body. When I saw last year that there was now a biocellulose mask with LACTIC ACID and VITAMIN C in the mix, I bought a box during the Fall VIB event and have been enjoying the mask’s results despite a few little things that make me hesitate in giving this mask my full endorsement.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n

What makes this mask special? <\/i>It’s a biocellulose mask made from fermented coconut fibers that allow the mask to hug every single contour of the face perfectly. Biocellulose even just on its own is very healing and hydrating. The REALLY interesting thing about this mask is the addition of lactic acid, you rarely see AHAs in sheet masks, and L-ascorbic acid aka the active form of vitamin C. There is also brightening niacinamide and white tea extract which along with the latter two ingredients are the top six ingredients of the ingredients list! There is also no added fragrance so what you smell is the truth!<\/div>\n

I had mentioned on my IG stories that there was not a lot of essence in the package and that I felt like the mask was quite thin for the price. I would also keep in mind that because there is no added fragrance, this mask does have a bit of a medicinal scent.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What it does: <\/b>Revive dry, visibly damaged skin to give an energized, radiant complexion<\/span><\/p>\n

Scent: <\/b>If you ever smelled “real Vitamin C serum” without any additional fragrance, this is what the mask smells like. It’s slightly sweet, but mainly medicinal. Usually biocellulose masks do not have much of a fragrance so this is the FIRST one I have tried with such a distinctive one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Essence Type: <\/b>Slightly watery and brown\/yellow in colour. Not much essence in the package.<\/span><\/p>\n

Duration: <\/b>15-20 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n

Thickness: <\/b>Very thin<\/span><\/p>\n

Mask Fit: <\/b>Good like most biocellulose masks, but I would have preferred something thicker.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tackiness: <\/b>None, which is fairly common for biocellulose masks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hydration:<\/b> Actually quite nice! Did not use any additional moisturizer afterwards, but I could have if I wanted to.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other notes: <\/b>My skin looked very radiant right after I removed the mask! <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Final verdict: <\/b>The only thing I wish this mask could do better was the thickness. I consider Dr. Dennis Gross to be a luxury brand so I would have expected their masks to be on the same thickness level is For Beloved One. I think the experience would have been much more enhanced, but the price would probably be about $10 more per mask. The ingredients were really solid and my skin honestly looked visibly brighter after 15-20 minutes of having this mask on my face. While I might not purchase these masks at regular price, I would most likely repurchase them during the next VIB sale!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
