The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival, then played at NYFF and this year’s Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride. In this doc film, a Nepali mountaineer risks everything on a record-breaking Everest climb to secure a brighter future for her daughters. It tells the story of a tenacious woman named Lhakpa Sherpa<\/strong>. Technically, she is not the first Nepalese woman to climb Everest \u2013\u00a0that honor goes to Pasang Lhamu Sherpa<\/strong><\/a>, however she died during her descent.
