Seg\u00fan revel\u00f3 la NHTSA, Hyundai ha retirado del mercado casi 50.000 de sus nuevos modelos Santa Fe 2024 redise\u00f1ados por un posible mal funcionamiento de su sistema de airbag.<\/p>\n

El retiro afecta solo al modelo 2024, pero se aplica tanto a los motores de gasolina, unas 40.144 unidades, como a los h\u00edbridos unas 9.575 unidades. El retiro cubre la mayor\u00eda, si no todos, de los nuevos modelos Santa Fe fabricados desde finales del a\u00f1o pasado hasta finales de julio.<\/p>\n

El Santa Fe de tama\u00f1o mediano se expandi\u00f3 en el segmento de tres filas este a\u00f1o, lo que le dio al fabricante de autom\u00f3viles dos modelos de tres filas junto con el Hyundai Palisade m\u00e1s grande.<\/p>\n

El\u00a0 SUV de tres filas podr\u00eda tener un arn\u00e9s de cableado en el piso principal que podr\u00eda quedar atrapado en el conjunto plegable del asiento de banco de la segunda fila.<\/p>\n

Si ese arn\u00e9s de cableado queda atrapado en el conjunto del asiento plegable, podr\u00eda da\u00f1ar o cortar la conexi\u00f3n con el sistema de despliegue del airbag. La luz de advertencia de la bolsa de aire podr\u00eda encenderse o las bolsas de aire podr\u00edan desplegarse involuntariamente, o podr\u00edan no desplegarse en caso de un choque.<\/p>\n

Hyundai reconoci\u00f3 ocho casos de que esto sucedi\u00f3 en el Santa Fe del 2024. El fabricante de autom\u00f3viles dijo que no sab\u00eda de accidentes o lesiones relacionadas con el retiro.<\/p>\n

Los propietarios ser\u00e1n notificados por correo a partir del 23 de septiembre y se les recomendar\u00e1 que lleven su Santa Fe para que lo reparen, aunque la soluci\u00f3n ya est\u00e1 disponible.
