No sane soul defends what happened on Jan. 6, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trump acolytes flooded the U.S. Capitol, fought District police officers and delayed the certification of the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n

Gross. Unacceptable.<\/p>\n

Except the media and Democrats, but we repeat ourselves, turned an awful day into Pearl Harbor meets 9\/11 … combined. Their spin, done for nakedly partisan reasons, forever changed the political landscape for the worse.<\/p>\n

Just two examples?<\/p>\n

They excused the shooting death of protester Ashli Babbitt<\/a> and pretended a Capitol police officer was bludgeoned to death by a Trump supporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And many people have suffered as a result, captured in not one<\/a> but two films<\/a> spearheaded by actor\/producer Nick Searcy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n

Now, there’s a feature film that takes that progressive fever dream and cranks it up to 11.<\/p>\n

Maybe 12.<\/p>\n

“War Game,” in select theaters Aug. 2 and opening wider Aug. 9, gathers progressive Jan. 6 fanatics to wonder what might happen next time around.<\/p>\n

Just imagine if the Capitol invaders had actual weapons or a cohesive plan to overtake the country, for example.<\/p>\n

\"YouTube<\/a><\/p>\n

And, yes, retired Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman appears in the film. So does Never Trumper turned Biden fanboy Bill Kristol.<\/p>\n

Need more Democrats on board for this “bipartisan” film? Try former Sens. Doug Jones and Heidi Heitkamp, former Gov. Steve Bullock and former General Wesley Clark. They all play “roles” in this “documentary.”<\/p>\n

Did Liz Cheney’s agent miss a call?<\/p>\n

Here’s the official synopsis:<\/p>\n

What will happen on January 6, 2025, when Congress convenes to certify the 2024 presidential election? Will the duly-elected candidate be confirmed, or will another \u2014 more successful \u2014 attempt to subvert the democratic process unfold? Will government leaders be prepared? The ex-government and military participants of WAR GAME (Steve Bullock, Heidi Heitkamp, and Wesley Clark, et alia) play out an immersive, fully-staged simulation in the White House Situation Room, as they are confronted by a coup launched by rogue elements within the U.S. military (one in five criminal defendants of the \u201921 Capitol attack were military veterans). Collaborating with the non-partisan organization Vet<\/em> Voice, directors Jesse Moss and Tony Gerber (FULL BATTLE RATTLE) expertly craft this credible nightmare \u2014 gaming out the unthinkable in a heartstopping race to save democracy <\/strong>[emphasis added].<\/em><\/p>\n

Sounds very fair and balanced, no?<\/p>\n

Critics Heart Jan. 6 Documentary<\/h2>\n

Film critics got a sneak peek at the film during this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and they took turns misleading readers about its bipartisan nature and praising its content.<\/p>\n

Both Vulture and The New York Times framed Kristol as a “conservative.” The Old Gray Lady dubbed him a “conservative standard-bearer.”<\/a> Yes, that’s accurate if the film came out in 2004, not 2024.<\/p>\n

Vulture dubbed Kristol a “Never Trump conservative.”<\/a> More obfuscation.<\/p>\n

These aren’t blogspot web sites, mind you. Spinning the truth still comes easily to these platforms. And you thought media corruption started and stopped at the front page<\/a>?<\/p>\n

At least Vulture admits this is a progressive fantasy, although it doesn’t use that verbiage.<\/p>\n

You might notice that these are mostly Democratic figures, though the simulation claims to be a bipartisan one … Vet Voice is a nonpartisan organization.<\/p>\n

P.S. It’s not. Why would a nonpartisan group gather so many Democrats in this fashion? Why does its “News” page reveal a zest for progressive causes?<\/p>\n

Bipartisan? Let’s Look at the Record<\/h2>\n

And a quick peek at its web site<\/a> shows no reason to back a project like this other than partisan purposes.<\/p>\n

Most film critics raved about the finished product, although the far-Left IndieWire noted its “preaching to the choir” motif.<\/a><\/p>\n

There\u2019s a certain breed of political junkie who will be profoundly moved by the film, but that person already follows all of its \u201ccast\u201d members on Threads and has purchased 60 percent of their memoirs.<\/p>\n

What’s Threads again? Oh, the Twitter killer<\/a>!<\/p>\n

If Jan. 6 were the nightmare we were told films like “War Game” wouldn’t be necessary. The truth would suffice.<\/p>\n
