I know that as we get older, matte lip products are not the most flattering unless you have a little “lip plumper” help, but truthfully as much as I love glossy lips, they never last when I am at work because of the AC. They constantly dry out and I find myself having to reapply because they feel so dry, but generally the colour ends up vanishing because I get too busy with other things to go back to my office and reapply my lipgloss which has left me with sticking to matte lipsticks purely for longevity. As today is International Lipstick Day, it felt like the perfect opportunity to share the Marcelle<\/b> Lip Loving Matte Comfort Liquid Lipsticks!<\/span><\/div>\n

Coming in eight delightfully pigmented shades and described as a “hydrating and mattifying liquid lipstick formulated with hyaluronic acid and tsubaki oil”, this formula promises to be both long-lasting, non-sticky and comfortable! This liquid lipstick is also fragrance-free which is not something I have experienced yet in a product like this!<\/p>\n

As you can see from the swatches on my arm, these are all ONE SWIPE and very pigmented. I also liked the applicator as it was quite flexible and easy to maneuver around my prominent cupid’s bow. The formula was VERY lightweight and did not leave my lips feeling “like a helmet”. They still felt very natural and throughout the day, I often forgot that I had a matte lipstick on!<\/div>\n

I quite enjoyed “Brave Berry” and found it to be a nice neutral pinkish shade on me that worked with any makeup look.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Mindful Mauve” was my favourite as I love a good purple-toned shade and brightened up my makeup look instantly!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Can you tell how I feel about “Noble Nude”? In the tube, it looked totally fine and then on me it TOTALLY washed me out!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I had higher hopes for “Pretty Pink” after “Noble Nude”, but I still felt like it washed me out…<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ok, “Rustic Rose” was gorgeous! Loved the fact that it leaned a bit nude on me and was probably what I was expecting with “Noble Nude”! <\/div>\n

I don’t wear red lipstick often, but this blue red is exactly what I would wear if I did! For something so pigmented, it felt so lightweight and compared to Maybelline Superstay, I found this less finicky to apply.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ohh, I liked “Sweet Spice” more than I thought I would! It looked very dark in the tube, but I know that this is going to be a beautiful fall shade to wear!<\/div>\n

Final verdict: <\/b>Oh, I loved these! Truly lightweight formula that doesn’t feel cakey on the lips and all you need is one swipe of product. Like I said, I am comfortably able to wear these all day, but of course if you eat a meal, you will lose a bit of colour, but all I ended up doing was topping my lips with gloss and I looked put together again!<\/p>\n
