Day 4 of the wheelchair basketball competition at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games<\/a> was filled with thrilling matchups as teams battled for quarter-final placings. Both the USA men’s team and China’s women’s team remained undefeated, while other teams fought hard to secure their positions.<\/p>\n

Australia vs. USA (Men)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The day kicked off with a high-octane clash between Australia<\/strong> and the USA<\/strong>. The USA emerged victorious, winning 76-69<\/strong> in a game filled with three-point fireworks. Jake Williams<\/strong> led the USA with 24 points, 14 of which came from beyond the arc in just 20 minutes of playing time. Australia, led by Tom O\u2019Neill Thorne’s<\/strong> 14 points, kept the pressure on but couldn’t close the gap. After a low-scoring first half, Japan mounted a comeback in the third quarter, led by Chihiro Kitada’s<\/strong> 22 points. However, Germany’s<\/strong> captain, Mareike Miller<\/strong>, was unstoppable, finishing with 39 points and 18 rebounds to secure the win for her team.<\/p>\n

Great Britain vs. China (Women)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

China<\/strong> continued their unbeaten run with a convincing 62-47<\/strong> victory over Great Britain<\/strong>. China\u2019s precision shooting and strong ball movement were key, as they shot 67% in the first quarter and built a significant lead by halftime. Great Britain\u2019s shooting struggles persisted, and despite strong efforts from Robyn Love<\/strong> and Lucy Robinson<\/strong>, China secured the top spot in Pool A.<\/p>\n

Mattias Bellers<\/strong> was the standout for the Netherlands with 22 points and 11 rebounds, but Spain’s balanced attack, led by Ignacio Ortega\u2019s<\/strong> 19 points, proved too strong.<\/p>\n

Spain vs. Canada (Women)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Canada<\/strong> finished second in Pool A with a commanding 81-49<\/strong> win over Spain<\/strong>. Kady Dandneau<\/strong> delivered a standout performance with 36 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists. Canada\u2019s aggressive defense and full-court press forced numerous turnovers, and they capitalized on Spain\u2019s foul troubles to extend their lead throughout the game.<\/p>\n
