The 2024 IWBF Women\u2019s South American Wheelchair Basketball Championship is poised to kick off in Lima, Peru, from 26 September to 30 September, 2024. Hosted by the Federaci\u00f3n Deportiva Nacional de Personas con Discapacidad F\u00edsica (FEDENADIF)<\/strong>, the prestigious tournament will bring together five nations to compete for a chance to qualify for the 2025 IWBF America\u2019s Cup.<\/p>\n

Teams from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia<\/strong> will join the host nation, Peru<\/strong>, at the VIDENA<\/strong>, a state-of-the-art facility that served as a legacy of the 2019 Parapan American Games. This championship not only promises to showcase top-tier wheelchair basketball but will also play a crucial role in developing and promoting the sport within the Americas.<\/p>\n

Reymundo Delgado, President of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), emphasized the broader goals of the event, stating,<\/p>\n

\u201cFEDENADIF takes on the organization of the 2024 Women\u2019s South American Wheelchair Basketball Championships aiming for the growth of Peruvian women\u2019s basketball in the Americas zone.
