Several areas in Shah Alam and Klang have been hit by floods following heavy rainfall this afternoon, with affected areas including Jalan Kebun, Kota Kemuning and Sri Muda. <\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the meteorological department of Malaysia announced that the monsoon transition phase<\/a> is to begin from September 24, yesterday, and is expected to last until early November. <\/p>\n

Members of the public have been advised to remain vigilant for changes in weather and stay updated with weather forecasts and warnings published by the department through its official website and official social media channels, as well as through the myCuaca mobile application, or contact 1-300-22-1638 for further information.<\/p>\n

In its statement, the department said that the western and interior regions of Peninsular Malaysia, as well as western Sabah and central Sarawak could experience winds from various directions, which could lead to thunderstorms.<\/p>\n
