Last week, I tried the VT Cosmetics <\/b>Cica retinol sheet mask and this week it is all about the collagen! This 3-step mask is meant to be an intensive hydrating collagen treatment that when used over time, will stimulate collagen production in the skin. Yes, please!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

What makes this mask special? <\/i>This mask contains something called Glycine Soja Phytoplacenta Extract<\/i> which is an antioxidant that stimulates collagen synthesis as well as hydrolyzed collagen, brightening niacinamide, cica, propolis extract and hyaluronic acid. <\/span><\/p>\n

This mask is also unique because of what VT Cosmetics calls a “semi-gel mask with elastic texture”. The texture is one that I have never experienced before! It is such a unique texture because yes, it is fabric, but then it has this jelly texture which makes it so cool! It was also very stretchy. <\/p>\n

As you can see, the mask was soaking in essence which made it kind of heavy and “slip-slidy” so some adjustment was needed. <\/div>\n

Step 1 (Essence) was a classic essence consistency in that it was clear and somewhat tacky. <\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Step 3 (Cream) felt like overkill as the sheet mask was so hydrating and on the tackier side. While I did go through with applying ALL of the cream in the packet, when I woke up in the morning, there was still quite a bit of product left on the surface of my skin. Note that I did not stick to my pillow while I slept.<\/div>\n

Thickness: <\/b>Thin<\/span><\/p>\n

Mask Fit: <\/b>Pretty good though I found the moustache slid down quite a bit<\/span><\/p>\n

Tackiness: <\/b>Medium<\/span><\/p>\n

Hydration: <\/b>HIGH<\/span><\/p>\n

Other notes: <\/b>I would probably leave it out using the third step in the future as I found this moisturizer to be quite thick.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Final verdict: <\/b>I found that final step just a bit too much in terms of hydration and when I purchase this mask again, I will probably end with a lighter moisturizer vs the one included, but I loved the semi-gel mask texture and of course love the idea that with regular use collagen synthesis can begin! <\/p>\n
