Marvel\u2019s Wonder Man<\/em><\/strong><\/a> project is currently in production and is shooting in Westwood, CA. Today we have some sets photos and a video that have surfaced on social media. We saw our first footage from the series earlier today. <\/p>\n

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II<\/strong> <\/a>stars in the project as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, and it is being developed by Destin Daniel Cretton<\/strong> (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings<\/em>) and Andrew Guest<\/strong> (Hawkeye<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The set photos indicate that Wonder Man<\/em> is going to be its own film franchise within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is kinda fun. <\/p>\n

Also, the Wonder Man<\/em> display includes a town or city surrounded by some sort of Hex like the one the Scarlet Witch put up around Westview in WandaVision<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Cretton will direct the first two episodes. It was already revealed<\/a> that Ben Kingsley<\/strong> is also set to reprise his role of Trevor Slattery<\/strong> in the series. The series cast also includes Yahya Abdul-Mateen II<\/strong> as Wonder Man, Demetrius Grosse<\/strong> as Eric Williams\/Grim Reaper, Ed Harris<\/strong> as Neal Saroyan, Bob Odenkirk<\/strong>, Lauren Glazier<\/strong>, Courtney Cox<\/strong>, and Josh Gad<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The series will focus on the Marvel character Simon Williams, a.k.a. Wonder Man. In the comics, he is \u201cthe son of a wealthy industrialist whose company falls on hard times due to competition from Tony Stark\u2019s Stark Industries. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs a result, Williams accepts an offer from villain Baron Zemo that gives him ionic superpowers including super strength and durability. After fighting the Avengers several times, Wonder Man ultimately joined their ranks.\u201d<\/p>\n

On The Official Marvel Podcast, Kevin Feige<\/strong> recently teased of Wonder Man, saying: \u201cWe have a show coming up that we\u2019ve talked very little about called Wonder Man, that I won\u2019t talk about much today either except to say it\u2019s extremely different. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very exciting to be a part of a company of 25 years or more, and a company that\u2019s been around for 85 years, nestled [within] the Walt Disney Company, that\u2019s been around for 100 years, and still being able to try new things, to take characters and stories to new places. That\u2019s what\u2019s exciting to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
