Petrol drops -13.8% for the month to 6,747 and 31.3% share vs. 37.4% and is up 1.1% YTD to 63,167 and 34.5% share vs. 38.4% a year ago. Diesel sinks -24% to 1,824 and 8.5% share vs. 11.5% and drops -12.2% YTD to 17,439 and 9.5% share vs. 12.2%. Hybrids advance 18.2% to 5,787 and 26.8% share vs. 23.4% a year ago and gain 24.6% YTD to 49,791 and 27.2% share vs. 24.6% last year. PHEVs soar 30.1% to 2,086 and 9.7% share vs. 7.7% in September 2022 and are up 18.7% YTD to 16,211 and 8.9% share vs. 8.4%. Finally BEVs surge 21.9% to 5,133 and 23.8% share vs. 20.1% and are up 38.7% YTD to 36,235 and 19.8% share vs. 16.3% over the first 9 months of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In the brands ranking, Volkswagen (+8%) and BMW (+10.6%) are solid on top with 10.3% and 8.6% share respectively, Mercedes (-9.8%) disappoints at #3 while Skoda (+10.2%) and Audi (+9.3%) are strong. Toyota (-2.7%) underperforms just as Tesla (-44.8%) implodes but still manages 4.6% share which is one percentage point above its YTD level of 3.6%. Hyundai (+38.9%) and Kia (+13.2%) impress in the remainder of the Top 10. Below, notice Smart (+1164.3%!), Jeep (+91%), Honda (+66.1%), Volvo (+65.3%), Opel (+54.4%) and Seat (+42.3%) all making waves.<\/p>\n<p>Over in the models lane, the Tesla Model Y (-19.7%) easily holds onto the top spot despite a hefty year-on-year loss. It distances the Skoda Enyaq (+170%) in fantastic shape at 3% share vs. 1.7% year-to-date. The VW Tiguan (-6%) rallies back up six spots on August to #3 while the BMW X3 (+113.4%) and Mercedes GLC (+38.3%) both post fantastic gains. Below a sinking Skoda Octavia (-37.7%) &#8211; yet still #2 year-to-date, the VW Golf (+2.6%) matches the market and is up 10 ranks on last month to #8. The Mini Hatch (+21.1%) is up 18 spots on August to #9 and the Dacia Sandero (-16.1%) skids to #10.<\/p>\n<p>Previous month: <a
