The LA Lakers have finally found their groove this season and while Anthony Davis and LeBron James will get many of the plaudits one new star has emerged. <\/strong><\/p>\n

In their last 10 games, the Lakers<\/a> have a 7-3 record which has now seen them improve their record to 20-14 which has seen them rise the Western Conference<\/a>. <\/p>\n

LeBron James has been in fine form since returning from his break, he has turned back the clock and recently broke yet another NBA record<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Rumors of a LeBron exit appeared to have been squashed<\/a> and Anthony Davis has begun to find his feet after some early season criticism<\/a>. <\/p>\n

While Max Christie has also been shining this season<\/a> it’s the emergence of the talented Austin Reaves<\/a> who has been a major asset to the Lakers. <\/p>\n

Reaves showing star quality <\/h2>\n

Reaves’ NBA career started in an interesting fashion as he went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft after declining to be selected 42nd overall by the Detroit Pistons<\/a>. <\/p>\n

It wouldn’t take long for him to sign a two-way contract with the LA Lakers and he scored eight points off the bench in a 115\u2013105 loss to the Phoenix Suns<\/a> in his debut. <\/p>\n

While Reaves has never struggled for minutes the exit of D’Angelo Russell<\/a> will allow Reaves more court time. Anthony Davis believes D\u2019Angelo Russell was holding back the young Lakers star<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old recently made Lakers history<\/a> after his 15 points and 11 assists against the Portland Trail Blazers. <\/p>\n

Reaves’ brother recently spoke exclusively to NBA Analysis<\/em><\/a> to talk about AR15’s success. Reaves has improved his stats in every area this season and has certainly been a weapon for JJ Redick. <\/p>\n

Exploring Reaves’ season numbers <\/h2>\n

It’s unrealistic to expect Reaves to keep up with the outputs of two of the best players in the league LeBron and Davis but his contributions have been priceless. <\/p>\n

Reaves was emotional after producing a match-winning performance<\/a> against the Golden State Warriors where he finished the night with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.<\/p>\n

While Reaves is still only in his fourth season in the NBA he is playing with the confidence and composure of a veteran, maybe LeBron has been teaching him a thing or two. <\/p>\n
