Bad<\/li>\n<li>Respect women? Good<\/li>\n<li>Free speech? Yes, please<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What she didn&#8217;t officially say but implied repeatedly? The modern Democratic Party no longer lives up to that branding.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/whitney-cummings-the-left-became-the-party-of-censorship\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-youtube-lyte\/lyteCache.php?origThumbUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2Fq1oNZ3zSgmQ%2Fhqdefault.jpg\" alt=\"YouTube Video\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you love your party, you have to be able to criticize it. I don&#8217;t really take sides &#8230; I always thought of myself as a pretty liberal person. I don&#8217;t think the Left is as liberal as it used to be. The Left became the party of censorship. &#8216;My body, my choice,&#8217; but you have to take this vaccine. And, &#8216;my body, my choice,&#8217; the pro-choice party, but you don&#8217;t have a choice in your candidate,&#8221; she said, repeating a line from her CNN roast.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not an expert on politics &#8230; but I am an expert on hypocrisy. I was raised by hypocrites. I&#8217;ve dated hypocrites. I know hypocrisy when I see it,&#8221; she said about her CNN segment. &#8220;So for me, I didn&#8217;t think I was being political. I was just pointing out hypocrisies across the board.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Why not roast Donald Trump during her CNN appearance? That would be &#8220;hacky.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s home-court advantage,&#8221; she cracked about CNN&#8217;s liberal bias. &#8220;There&#8217;s nothing risky or dangerous about that. It bothers me when comics say stuff that&#8217;s self-righteous and they get applause when they&#8217;re being fake-brave,&#8221; she added. &#8220;If I was gonna roast Trump, I&#8217;d have to do that on Fox News.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And I already roasted Trump,&#8221; she said, alluding to the 2011 Trump roast on Comedy Central. (warning: Adult language)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/whitney-cummings-the-left-became-the-party-of-censorship\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-youtube-lyte\/lyteCache.php?origThumbUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2Fio6wi8DVZ3o%2Fhqdefault.jpg\" alt=\"YouTube Video\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>She said the typical political sides no longer matter as they once did.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s now, to me, just Crazy vs. Sane,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Cummings circled back to the Democratic Party, ticking off values with which she agreed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is the party of the artist, the brave people, the comedians, the thinkers. That&#8217;s what the Democrats were. I&#8217;m proud that I fell for that,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>She segued to Vice President Kamala Harris&#8217; campaign against Donald Trump. Here, Cummings took off the gloves.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[Harris] could not figure out how to say something that I could understand,&#8221; she said, laughing. &#8220;When I watched Kamala talk &#8230; I don&#8217;t know what she believes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hold on, this person that makes absolutely no sense, forget gender, and has such low approval ratings and is not effective or powerful, and she can&#8217;t even be good at being a puppet,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s so embarrassing on so many levels. Are you gonna tell me you guys are gonna push for a black woman, the lowest rated VP &#8230; to be the president, so our worst president is gonna be a black woman? How is that good for women or black people?&#8221; she asked, ignoring those who said Harris ran a<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/harris-adviser-vp-ran-flawless-campaign-gop-campaign\/story?id=116498997\"  rel=\"noopener\"> &#8220;flawless&#8221; campaign.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Later, Cummings shared how she made a critical comment about then-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/tim-walz-china-views\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz&#8217;s frequent China trips<\/a> on social media before taking it down.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t want controversy. I don&#8217;t like it. I don&#8217;t like not knowing if people are mad at me or if I&#8217;m wrong,&#8221; she said of the comments. The feedback? Yes, Walz&#8217;s ties to China were, indeed, weird.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That woke her up. It also may explain why she said what she said on CNN.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The only thing worse than censorship is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/desus-mero-self-censor-cancel-culture\/\">self censorship,<\/a>&#8221; &#8220;For comics to complain about censorship, myself included, and then to self censor? Whoa, dude. I&#8217;m such a hypocrite. This is wild. I can&#8217;t do this anymore, because people are going to go out of their way to intentionally misunderstand and intentionally be offended, and those people are not my people.
