Stephen Curry doesn’t think the Golden State Warriors are well-equipped to make big comebacks with the roster they have this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Golden State Warriors<\/a> lost 99-129 to the Sacramento Kings<\/a> at home in a deflating second leg of a back-to-back. After beating the Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> without Stephen Curry<\/a> on Saturday, Curry’s return to the lineup led to an uncompetitive Warriors showing against the Kings.<\/p>\n

Curry reacted to the loss harshly. He referred to the loss as embarrassing and admitted that the Warriors aren’t built for major comebacks.<\/p>\n

“I don’t know. Nobody likes to get embarrassed like that. Everybody is on a back-to-back, I didn’t play yesterday. The Kings have a very fast-paced offense. <\/p>\n

“They had pretty much every option they wanted and offensive rebounds in the first quarter. When you’re looking up and it’s a double-digit lead before the first timeout. 36-21 Like, we’re not built to have a crazy comeback.”<\/p>\n

After being pressed on his comment, Curry clarified what he meant. The point guard remarked on the general nature of having to make a massive comeback in a game.<\/p>\n

“We haven’t shown that. It’s one of those things where you don’t want to be in those situations. Especially on a back-to-back where the guys used a lot of energy to get the win last night. I’d love to start the game a lot better to give ourselves a chance and not be in a situation where you need crazy offensive fireworks to even have a chance.”<\/p>\n
