Carrie Underwood<\/strong><\/a> has caught the ire of some fans, after being named as the headlining performer at Donald Trump\u2019s upcoming presidential inauguration<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The \u201cBefore He Cheats\u201d singer will perform immediately prior to the noted cheater\u2019s swearing-in during the festivities, which will take place in Washington D.C. on Jan. 20. Underwood will sing the patriotic anthem \u201cAmerica The Beautiful,\u201d and her headlining slot was confirmed by the Trump-Vance inaugural committee on Monday. The singer, who has long kept her political views private, said in a statement that she is \u201chonored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event.\u201d<\/p>\n
