In the latest update in the unending drama that is It Ends With Us, <\/em>Justin Baldoni<\/strong><\/a> has officially sued Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, alleging that the power couple sought to \u201cdestroy\u201d him.\u00a0In case you\u2019ve been living under a rock (if so, hi down there!), Baldoni\u2019s complaint is the latest escalation in the ongoing legal battle stemming from It Ends With Us<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>which was directed by the actor and co-starred Lively. <\/p>\n

Taking the tit-for-tat to unprecedented heights, Baldoni\u2019s 179-page lawsuit is seeking a whopping $400 million on the grounds of civil extortion, defamation and invasion of privacy on Lively and Reynolds\u2019 part. The complaint was filed in the Southern District of New York on behalf of Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, which produced It Ends With Us.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not a case about celebrities sniping at each other in the press,\u201d the lawsuit reads. \u201cThis is a case about two of the most powerful stars in the world deploying their enormous power to steal an entire film right out of the hands of its director and production studio.\u201d It goes on to allege that Lively \u2014 who is described as \u201cone of the world\u2019s best-known celebrities\u201d \u2014 used her power to \u201cseize\u201d control of the film only to \u201cdestroy\u201d Baldoni\u2019s livelihood if he \u201cdid not bend to her incessant demands.\u201d <\/p>\n

When those needs weren\u2019t met, the lawsuit alleges that Lively accused her co-star of \u201cfoul and reprehensible sexual misconduct.\u201d In summary, the complaint accuses Lively of \u201chijacking\u201d control of the film and its premiere, \u201cdestroy[ing]\u201d Baldoni\u2019s professional reputation, and attempting to drive him \u201cout of the business entirely.\u201d It marks the most recent chapter in a saga that first erupted in December, when Lively first filed a civil rights complaint<\/a> alleging that Baldoni sexually harassed her on the set of It Ends With Us. <\/em><\/p>\n
