I’m a fan of the original It Cosmetics CC<\/a> in the silver tube and I rely on it especially when my skin is very dry, as it’s one of those formulas that can handle rough-to-the-touch, dried-out skin and it doesn’t emphasize flakes or dry texture. However, they so far haven’t made a shade in that original formula range that would be light enough for me. They gave me hope when they expanded the range, but the Fair Ivory turned out to be very similar to their shade Fair. CC Nude Glow is a formula which promises to brighten the skin, as it has niacinamide, so like the original CC it’s makeup with skin care and SPF. This line has a shade that is very light and suits me, so it quickly became my most used formula, though if you love the original CC, this formula is different and you might miss more coverage.<\/div>\n

Formula:<\/span> This formula has few similarities with the original CC. The latter feels like a CC or BB cream, so a thicker creamy formula, similar to moisturisers and it has a lot of coverage. Nude Glow is a lighter formulation and it behaves like a classic liquid foundation. It’s easy to apply with any method, though I prefer one of those cushion foundation sponges. It’s quite a hydrating formula and it’s one of those foundations that doesn’t set for quite a while. That suits me, as my skin is dry and most foundations quickly set matte and flat on me, while I want the feeling of a moisturiser and a more fresh-looking finish. I prefer not to powder in except around the eyes because of glasses, but most may want set it in some way, as it can wipe off easily as it’s slowly setting. <\/div>\n

Coverage and finish:<\/span> Coverage is light-medium. It’s easy to build up and it has a glowy finish. If you’re a big fan of the original CC, you may be disappointed at lower level of coverage and the fact it doesn’t feel like a traditional CC\/BB, but just like the original, this is a great formula for dry skin and it has quite a bit of glow. <\/p>\n

Staying power: <\/span>It lasts well on my dry skin. I can see it on the face at the end of the day, it fades evenly, it doesn’t become patchy and it doesn’t worsen my smile lines. I don’t see this lasting well on oily-combinations skin and it will likely quickly slide off without a powder and a setting spray. It performs poorly on spots as it slides off quickly when worn alone. It doesn’t photograph well, but in person it looks fresh and it doesn’t settle much into my smile lines. <\/p>\n

Shade: <\/span>Fair Porcelain is similar in depth to Revlon’s Colorstay 110 Ivory and it’s also cool toned, but doesn’t have an intense undertone, which is nice to see. It’s about a shade or two lighter than the original CC’s Fair and Fair Ivory. <\/p>\n

Packaging: <\/span>This has the same tube as the original CC. The pump is precise. <\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/span> As is usual for It Cosmetic products, this formula features several skin care ingredients, though less than the original CC and here the focus is on niacinamide. The SPF is 40 compared to the 50 of the original.<\/p>\n

Price and availability:<\/span> I bought this on Cult Beauty, but it’s in other online shops too. It costs about 40 \u20ac, so it pays to wait for a discount. <\/p>\n
