Victor Wembanyama continues to shine like a bright diamond as the NBA\u2019s face of the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following his breathtaking entry to the NBA from last year, Victor Wembanyama<\/a> became even more special right now under the bright spotlight. The San Antonio Spurs<\/a> phenom has been a pleasure to watch on a nightly basis with his generational talent and unicorn wonder.<\/p>\n

This season, Wembanyama already took a massive leap from the historic rookie campaign he had<\/a>, averaging 24.6 points, 10.8 boards, 3.8 assists, and a league-leading 4.0 blocks per game.<\/p>\n

Adam Silver gets candid if Victor Wembanyama already met expectations<\/h2>\n

From what he has been showcasing thus far in his young and promising professional career, Adam Silver<\/a> can only be impressed by how Wembanyama constantly lives up to the lofty hype imposed by everyone.<\/p>\n

The entire sports world took an immediate look when Wembanyama finally opted to join the league in 2023. Since then, the NBA<\/a> Commissioner couldn’t ask for a much more ideal player to soon take in charge and lead basketball in perhaps becoming the future GOAT.<\/a><\/p>\n

Speaking at the NBA\u2019s recent press conference for Paris Game 2025, Silver didn’t even think twice when asked if Wembanyama had managed to meet all of the expectations.<\/p>\n

“Victor has exceeded any expectations only because having been with the league for a long time,” he said. “We’ve seen lots of projected No. 1 picks who did or didn’t go No. 1, but even when they went No. 1, maybe due to no fault of their own or because of an injury or things just didn’t work out, didn’t meet the high expectations people had of them. So I tried to stay level-headed in terms of what the potential is for a player.<\/p>\n

“There was never a doubt in my mind in terms of Victor’s character, his motivation, his drive, his intelligence. All those things are very apparent when you talk to him.<\/p>\n

“I would say now all of those qualities being translated into the NBA game.”<\/p>\n

Paris embraces Wembanyama in a remarkable fashion<\/h2>\n

Wednesday’s Paris Games was simply highly anticipated because of Wembanyama. The French wunderkind landed in his homeland and was hailed as a national sports hero, drawing nonstop cheers from the sellout crowd of Accor Arena.<\/p>\n

Countless French fans were wearing Wembanyama jerseys to support the Spurs star in their eventual 140-110 dominant victory against the Indiana Pacers<\/a>. And this overwhelming support is expected to be repeated when both teams meet again to conclude the Games on Saturday.<\/p>\n
