Anthony Davis\u2019 recent demands for another big man has stirred discussions for the Los Angeles Lakers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When Anthony Davis<\/a> delivered the wishes in an interview with Shams Charania of ESPN<\/a>, it immediately sparked nods across the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> fanbase and most of the NBA circles. As such, Danny Green<\/a> \u2014 a former teammate of Davis who saw how the superstar big man excelled alongside JaVale McGee<\/a> and Dwight Howard<\/a> in L.A.\u2019s 2020 title run \u2014 also stamped his approval for this notion.<\/p>\n

Out of Davis\u2019s request and noise around the team’s fanbase, all eyes are directed now on Rob Pelinka<\/a> and how he will act swiftly by landing that ideal center for the Lakers.<\/p>\n

Yet for Bob Myers, everyone has to tone down their expectations as the business of the NBA isn’t easy as it seems.<\/p>\n

Bob Myers<\/a> always knows a thing or two on how to build a solid NBA team.<\/p>\n

As it is, Myers was the architect of one of the greatest dynasties in the history of the game. As a top executive, he constructed the Golden State Warriors<\/a> into a title-winning squad that clinched four championships across eight seasons. His talent to guide a team has been renowned as he’s been recently linked for a potential opportunity with another NBA team.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the recent segment of ESPN\u2019s NBA Countdown, the former Warriors general manager was inquired on what he’ll do if he’s in the position of Pelinka from Davis\u2019s recent statement. <\/p>\n

And as a response, Myers offered nothing but intriguing words centered around the experience he had as a franchise basketball decision-maker.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, I did that job. It’s a hard job,\u201d he said<\/a>. \u201cI think you make the team the best you can. A lot of people look like they need this one or two pieces. I’m sure if the Lakers can get one or two pieces, they’ll get one of two pieces.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut sometimes, the deal is \u2014 it’s hard. It is hard to build these teams. When he referenced that \u2018championship team\u2019, that was a great team. It’s easy to look back and say why don’t we do that [title win] again?<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Anthony Davis is an awesome player. I do, and he can say whatever he wants. But it’s hard to do these things, guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rob Pelinka has an urgent decision to make for the Lakers’ title odds<\/h2>\n

The Lakers indeed have their priorities set in acquiring a big man ever since the season began. Upon nailing the Dorian Finney-Smith acquisition<\/a>, they are expected to be aggressive yet again by fulfilling this goal in which several centers could be on their radar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Pelinka\u2019s seat couldn’t get even hotter, he can only deal with the immense pressure in his ongoing stand as the Lakers\u2019 general manager. With LeBron James already at age 40, the team has been urged to maximize on what’s left in their title window.<\/p>\n

The Lakers are currently sitting as the No. 5 team in the West of the present NBA ladder with 25 wins. While it has been ideal, they are certainly seeking for more with winning the championship as their final mission.<\/p>\n

The team still holds a highly valuable first-round picks in 2029 and 2031 which can be swung for a major move. We can only wait if the Lakers will pull the trigger ahead of the Feb. 6 deadline.<\/p>\n\n
