Jayson Tatum has been the talk of the town recently across the NBA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Boston Celtics<\/a> superstar didn’t hide his true feelings with regards to the ongoing discussion about who is the future face of the NBA. According to Jayson Tatum<\/a> himself, he should be wearing the crown as he believes he can simply \u201ccheck off the boxes\u201d<\/a> for the criteria.<\/p>\n

It comes after calls for Anthony Edwards<\/a> and Victor Wembanyama<\/a> to be regarded as the face of the league. Tatum meanwhile feels that he is being overlooked and underappreciated. Even a rival coach thinks the same way<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tatum stands convinced that he has what it takes to follow the footsteps<\/a> of those who have carried the torch, with greats like LeBron James<\/a>, Kevin Durant<\/a>, and Stephen Curry<\/a> entering their latter years.<\/p>\n

Paul Pierce thinks being in Boston affects Jayson Tatum’s case to be considered the future face of the NBA<\/h2>\n

NBA fans and pundits have offered diverse reactions about Tatum’s case for himself about being the future face of the league.\u00a0But in the eyes of Paul Pierce<\/a>, there may be little Tatum can do to change opinion.<\/p>\n

In the latest episode of his KG Certified with Kevin Garnett<\/a>, Pierce argued that being in Boston serves as the focal reason for Tatum being dismissed in the future face of the NBA conversation.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe plays for Boston. It’s just what it is,” the Hall of Famer argued. “Every player through Boston, even Larry Bird, was under appreciated. You know what I’m saying? Because at one point he was the best player in the league.<\/p>\n

“But it was always Magic, even though Magic my favorite player, it’s just playing for Boston. Boston is the most hated franchise, hated team in all the sports, in all the basketball for sure.”<\/p>\n

Pierce agrees Tatum has the credentials: “Like the guy has been the six Conference Finals bro in eight years. In eight years, two finals. Like, if you match that up with like, KDs and all the stars, they didn’t do that.<\/p>\n

“Even like what Luka [Doncic] has been to one Finals, two Conference Finals.”<\/p>\n
