Tesla (+318.5%) continues to show insolent health and grabs a whopping 16.3% market share for the month. It holds 12.1% of the Danish market year-to-date, up a surreal 593.3%. As a reminder, Tesla ranked #18 over the Full Year 2022. Volkswagen (-9.5%) clearly can&#8217;t keep up while Audi (+13.2%) trails the market but Peugeot (+49.8%) shines. Strong results also for Opel (+112.3%) for once, Ford (+18.2%) and BMW (+16.6%). In contrast Toyota (-35.9%), Mercedes (-19.9%) and Skoda (-8.1%) struggle. Notice also Cupra (+61.3%) selling over 5 times the amount of sister brand Seat (-24.7%) and Fisker up two spots on August to #22. We welcome a new Chinese entrant in the Danish market: Voyah, with a single sale of its Free SUV for the month.<\/p>\n<p>Over in the models lane, the Tesla Model Y (+404%) multiplies its year-ago volume by 5 to hold an extravagant 16% share, its second best ever below the 17.8% it reached last March. Note the Model Y accounts for 98.8% of Tesla sales in Denmark this month. Way below is last year&#8217;s winner the Peugeot 208 (+37.3%) holding well at #2 with 4.5% share vs. 3.8% so far this year. The Opel Corsa (+295.7%) stays in third place while the Ford Mustang Mach-E (+327.5%) soars 15 spots on August to #4, equalling its best ever ranking also hit in July 2022. In fact the rest of the Top 12 entirely beat the market in a striking show of strength. The Peugeot 2008 (+370.2%), Citroen C3 (+250%), Audi Q2 (+211.1%) and Polestar 2 (+183.3%) are the most dynamic.
