Laporan Ketua Audit Negara 2022<\/a> turut mendedahkan mengenai subsidi pembayaran pampasan kepada pengendali lebuhraya. Menurut Ketua Audit Negara, sebanyak RM55.443 bilion dibelanjakan oleh kerajaan Malaysia pada tahun lalu, dengan RM861.22 juta untuk subsidi pampasan tol.<\/p>\n

Ia mewakili penurunan sebanyak RM474.94 juta atau 35.5% berbanding RM1.336 bilion yang direkodkan pada tahun 2021. Laporan tersebut turut menyebut, pampasan tersebut dibayar kepada 19 pengendali lebuhraya untuk pemberian diskaun tol serta menangguh kenaikan kadar tol.<\/p>\n

Pada Mei tahun ini, dilaporkan bahawa kerajaan mempertimbangkan untuk melanjutkan tempoh konsesi pengusaha lebuh raya bagi mengelakkan kadar tol meningkat. Di mana, dengan tempoh konsesi yang lebih lama, pengendali lebuh raya akan menurunkan kadar tol, walau bagaimana pun tiada sebarang kenyataan rasmi mengenainya setakat ini.<\/p>\n
