A new trailer has been released for the animated adventure film, Migration<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, featuring the Taylor Swift song, \u201cOut of the Woods (Taylor\u2019s Version)\u201d. Illumination\u2019s upcoming family comedy was written by Mike White<\/strong> (The White Lotus<\/em>, School of Rock<\/em>) and it was directed by Benjamin Renner<\/strong> (Ernest & Celestine<\/em>, The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales<\/em>). The cast is led by Kumail Nanjiani<\/strong> (The Big Sick<\/em>, Eternals<\/em>) as anxious Mallard dad, Mack; and Elizabeth Banks<\/strong> (Hunger Games<\/em>, Pitch Perfect<\/em> franchises) as Pam, the Mallards\u2019 daring, quick-witted matriarch.<\/p>\n

They are joined by Caspar Jennings<\/strong> as Dax, the Mallards\u2019 confident and restless son, and, in her feature film debut, Tresi Gazal<\/strong> plays Gwen, the family\u2019s innocent and lovable daughter. It also features Awkwafina<\/strong> (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings<\/em>) as the scrappy leader of a New York City pigeon gang; Carol Kane<\/strong> (The Princess Bride<\/em>) as Erin the heron, the first friend that the Mallards make on their journey; Keegan-Michael Key<\/strong> (The Super Mario Bros. Movie<\/em>, The Lion King<\/em>) voices a homesick Jamaican parrot locked away in a Manhattan restaurant; David Mitchell<\/strong> (Peep Show<\/em>) plays the yogic leader of a mysterious duck farm; Danny DeVito<\/strong> (It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em>) co-stars as Mack\u2019s curmudgeonly, adventure-averse Uncle Dan.<\/p>\n

The film centers on the Mallard family, who is in a bit of rut. \u201cWhile dad Mack is content to keep his family safe paddling around their New England pond forever, mom Pam is eager to shake things up and show their kids\u2014teen son Dax and duckling daughter Gwen\u2014the whole wide world. After a migrating duck family alights on their pond with thrilling tales of far-flung places, Pam persuades Mack to embark on a family trip, via New York City, to tropical Jamaica.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the Mallards make their way South for the winter, \u201ctheir well-laid plans quickly go awry. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends and accomplish more than they ever thought possible, while teaching them more about each other\u2014and themselves\u2014than they ever imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n
