It was recently reported<\/a> that about 20 minutes of the slasher horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey<\/em><\/strong><\/a> was accidentally shown to a class of fourth-grade students. It\u2019s pretty wild that actually happened, and as you might expect, parents were super upset. <\/p>\n

Writer and director Rhys Frake-Waterfield<\/strong> <\/a>recently reacted to that news in an interview with Variety<\/a>, and he says it\u2019s \u201ccrazy\u201d that this happened. The fact that the teacher let it go on for 20 minutes was insane because it started out with some scary stuff! <\/p>\n

When asked for his reaction to the movie being mistakenly shown to children the filmmaker said he hoped the film didn\u2019t ruin these kids\u2019 childhoods:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s mad, isn\u2019t it? I think it\u2019s crazy. Because when you watch the film there is no way you can mistake it for a child\u2019s film, literally in the first 10 minutes, crazy stuff\u2019s happening. And [the characters] look scary. So I don\u2019t know how \u2014 because they said it went on 20 to 30 minutes \u2014 I don\u2019t know how it went on that long. I don\u2019t know if the teacher put it on and just walked out and left them or if the kids tricked them or something. Hopefully we haven\u2019t ruined these kids\u2019 childhoods.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While it\u2019s crazy that this happened, it\u2019s also the kind of unexpected marketing that helps a film like this. A sequel is currently in the works<\/a>, and when talking about that sequel, Frake-Waterfield teased the massive amount of deaths in the movie:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn comparison to the first film everything\u2019s stepped up massively. It\u2019s a horror film. A lot of the times people are going there for the death scenes and for those elements and we\u2019ve really upped the ante. I think the last time I did a count there was over 30 deaths in the movie, which is quite substantial compared to most movies. I think that\u2019s at least over three times what the first film had and there\u2019s various massacres and stuff. So there\u2019s a lot of blood and a lot of gore.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So, if you\u2019re looking forward to watching Winnie The Pooh and Piglet brutally murder more people, the upcoming sequel has got you covered. <\/p>\n

Frake-Waterfield previously said of the sequel: \u201cBigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high death count. However, this time Pooh and friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!\u201d<\/p>\n

Producer Scott Jeffrey<\/strong> added: \u201cOur sequel we have a substantially higher budget so Rhys is really able to create a shocking, explosive and gore-filled movie. I truly think people will really dig what we are creating.\u201d<\/p>\n

The cast for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2<\/em> also includes Tallulah Evans<\/strong>, Scott Chambers<\/strong> (Doctor Jekyll<\/em>) as Christopher Robin, Ryan Olivia<\/strong> (Seasoning House<\/em>) as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney<\/strong> (The Pope\u2019s Exorcist<\/em>) as Young Pooh.<\/p>\n\n
