Jackson<\/a>\u2019s Nick Fury and Teyonah Parris\u2019 Monica Rambeau \u2014 there is one brief appearance that has caught some viewers by surprise.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-is-valkyrie-in-the-marvels\">Is Valkyrie in <em>The Marvels<\/em>?<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Marvels | Final Trailer | In Theaters Friday\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uwmDH12MAA4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Towards the end of the clip, after multiple fight scenes and laser shoot-outs, Valkyrie from the <em>Thor <\/em>franchise appears in conversation with Captain Marvel, assuring the fellow superhero that she \u201ccan stand tall without standing alone.\u201d Actress <a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/tag\/Tessa-Thompson\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tessa Thompson<\/a> reprises her role as the New Asgard sovereign, confirming months of speculation regarding the character\u2019s rumoured appearance in <em>The Marvels.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Thompson\u2019s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was first speculated in October, when Marvel released a TV spot which featured shots of the Bifrost frequented by Asgardian gods. Another fan simply wrote: \u201cWE WON.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the trailer, the Valkyrie cameo was mostly wishful thinking on the part of fans, but her first on-screen appearance with <em>The Marvels <\/em>trailer officially confirms her involvement in the film, though the extent of her role remains unclear. It marks the character\u2019s first foray into the MCU since 2022\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/movies\/is-valkyrie-in-the-marvels\/Love%20and%20Thunder\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thor: Love and Thunder<\/a>, <\/em>and adds to an illustrious superhero career that included <em><a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/movies\/is-valkyrie-in-the-marvels\/Endgame\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Avengers: Endgame<\/a><\/em>\u2019s war against Thanos.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of the big-headed stone-collector, Thanos\u2019 presence is felt all throughout <em>The Marvels\u2019 <\/em>trailer, with Captain Marvel referencing the former Big Bad and the implications of his death on the MCU. From what we know, the <em>Captain Marvel <\/em>sequel will see Danvers join forces with Rambeau (previously seen in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/tag\/WandaVision\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WandaVision<\/a><\/em>) and Iman Vellani\u2019s Ms. Marvel to face a new enemy in the form of Dar-Benn, a Kree revolutionary played by Zawe Ashton.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the Valkyrie cameo, speculation has mounted around <em>The Marvels\u2019 <\/em>teasing of a <a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/movies\/theres-a-different-reality-bleeding-into-ours-marvel-pulls-out-the-big-guns-to-raise-hype-for-the-marvels-by-teasing-a-multiversal-crossover\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">multiversal crossover<\/a>, potential <a href=\"https:\/\/wegotthiscovered.com\/movies\/could-the-x-men-appear-in-the-marvels-the-rumors-explained\/\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inclusion of characters from <em>X-Men<\/em><\/a><em>, <\/em>and the supposed <a
