While both the vehicles are powered by the same engine options, the Scorpio-N is based on a ladder frame and gets RWD while the XUV700 is based on a monocoque chassis and gets FWD. Also, in this drag race, both vehicles are powered by diesel engines. In the first round, the XUV700 gets a slow start. However, it quickly makes up and even overtakes the Scorpio-N. This happens between 60-80 km\/h. The Mahindra XUV700 accelerated quickly in the third gear to get the overtake done. While there can be many different factors for the quicker acceleration of XUV700, here are a few possibilities. The engines of both cars are tuned differently even though they have the same engine option. Also, since the XUV700 is automatic, it is highly likely that the gear ratios are different in both vehicles. Most manual cars have a wide-open third gear that helps the car drivers to not change the gear often. The third gear serves the purpose of driving at a slow speed and also going at higher speeds, especially when driving on city roads. It offers impressive speed, capable of reaching 0-60 km\/h in just 5 seconds. Mahindra provides three driving modes in the all-new XUV700, which can alter the engine&#8217;s behavior. However, the official power and torque figures for the XUV700 have not been disclosed by Mahindra at this time.<\/p>\n<p>The petrol engine delivers a maximum power of 200 PS and a peak torque of 380 Nm, while the diesel mHawk engine produces a maximum power of 155 PS and a peak torque of 360 Nm. There is currently no information available about the transmission options for the XUV700.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with the petrol engine in the Scorpio-N. It is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 203 PS of power. When paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, it produces 370 Nm of torque, while with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, it produces 380 Nm of torque.<\/p>\n<p>Moving on to the diesel engine, it is available in multiple states of tune. In the Z2 diesel manual variant, the engine delivers 132 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque.
