The year-to-date tally is now up 13.1% to 203,261. 4&#215;4 sales beat the market at +24.5% to 10,879 and 53.4% share vs. 50.8% a year ago and are up 14.1% year-to-date to 103,095 and 50.7% share vs. 50.2%. Petrol sales drop -5.6% to 6,308 and 31% share vs. 38.9% in October 2022 but edge up 0.5% YTD to 69,475 and 34.2% share vs. 38.5% over the same period in 2022. Diesel is down -7.9% to 1,747 and 8.6% share vs. 11% and down -11.8% YTD to 19,186 and 9.4% share vs. 12.1% last year. HEV are up 17.8% to 5,730 and 28.2% share vs. 28.3% a year ago and up 23.9% YTD to 55,521 and 27.3% share vs. 24.8%. PHEV soar 56.8% to 2,063 and 10.1% share vs. 7.7% in October 2022 and are up 22% YTD to 18,274 and 9% share vs. 8.3%. Finally BEVs shoot up 87% to 4,505 and 22.1% share vs. 14% last year and are up 40.9% YTD to 40,740 and 20% share vs. 16.1% in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In the brands ranking, Volkswagen (+17.9%) matches the market to post a strong 11.9% share while Skoda (+38.2%) is up two spots on September to #2, bypassing BMW (+22.3%). Audi (+14.9%) overtakes Mercedes (+13.1%) to rank #4. Toyota (-18%) suffers at #6, enduring the steepest fall in the Top 20. Volvo (+109.7%) rallies back up seven ranks on last month to #7 with Dacia (+31.1%) and Hyundai (+29.5%) also strong in the remainder of the Top 10. Porsche (+40.1%) is up to #14, outselling the likes of Peugeot, Mazda, Opel and Fiat. Tesla soars 811.8% year-on-year but falls 13 spots on September to #20. Cupra (-36.4%) has peaked out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Model-wise, the Skoda Enyaq (+149.2%) scores its 2nd ever win in Switzerland after <a href=\"https:\/\/bestsellingcarsblog.com\/2021\/11\/switzerland-october-2021-skoda-enyaq-scores-first-win-in-the-world-market-down-28-2\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">October 2021<\/a> with 3.1% share. The Audi Q4 (+180.1%) makes it two EVs in the Top 2 and is up to 2.6% share, double its YTD level of 1.3% (#10). The VW Polo (+139.8%) is up 11 spots on last month to #3 and ends the month ahead of the Skoda Octavia (+11%) and Volvo XC40 (+169.3%). The Tesla Model Y (+817.9%) falls from #1 in September to #9 but still vastly dominates the year-to-date charts with over 1,000 units more than the Skoda Octavia. The Mercedes GLC (+85.9%) and Dacia Sandero (+27.5%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10.
